The medium-hard sponge (hardness again approx. 45 degrees) even offers a quite good built-in fresh adhesive effect, so that the Bloom Power also exceeds the Battle II in the points of tempo and catapult effect with comparable stickiness. However, it remains a covering for a more table-close game with shorter arm movements.
Overall, the feel of the game is not significantly different from many other sticky coverings from Friendship, just with a little more spin + speed. Players who have previously played pads such as the Friendship 729-08, the Battle II, or Tuttle pads such as the 2018 VIP will surely be thrilled by this topping.
This surface is particularly suitable for players who prefer to put their offensive game close to the table with shorter arm movements - in this way of playing, the strengths of the sticky surface are best revealed.
For players with a more European style of play, however, the Bloom Power is particularly suitable as a backhand pad for a powerful counter and block game with more frequent topspins. For forehand top spins from the half-distance with longer arm movements, however, there are also better pads from China.
In any case, it is positive that with the Bloom Power, safe and toxic undercut balls are still possible even in 2.2 mm.
Due to its slightly above-average weight, this covering should preferably be combined with slightly lighter woods.
In the past, other brands were leading the way in the highly sticky and very fast offensive pads. In our opinion, the Bloom Power is not only as good as the best pads of other brands from China, but also has a lot more to offer - a little more speed and more fresh adhesive effect, but above all also a better quality. It is also particularly noteworthy that the covering is not "factory-tuned" – the fresh adhesive effect is firmly built-in and therefore more durable.
