Dynamic Friction-rubber, ontwikkeld op basis van de sneeuwbandentechnologie, heeft een hogere wrijvingscoëfficiënt bij beweging tegen de bal. Dynamische wrijving is het resultaat van het in balans brengen van de chemische samenstelling met de fysieke structuur voor een specifiek doel; anders dan het creëren van statische wrijving. Nieuwe plastic ballen zijn moeilijker te vangen met het rubber voor spin, omdat een hardere plastic buitenkant ook een gladder oppervlak heeft. Vooral wanneer de plastic bal het rubber met hoge snelheid en onder een extreme hoek raakt.
